SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Sheila M. Jakaitis of Wadsworth, who
4passed away on February 26, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Sheila Jakaitis was born in Waukegan to Stanley
6and Josephine Schuster on May 9, 1944; she graduated from
7Waukegan High School in 1961 and later earned her nursing
8degree from the College of Lake County; she married Edmund
9Jakaitis at St. Dismas Church in 1968; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Sheila Jakaitis worked at Lake Forest Hospital and
11the Vista East Medical Center (Victory Memorial Hospital) in
12Waukegan; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Sheila Jakaitis was a lifelong member of the
14American Slovenian Catholic Union KSKJ; she was also a member
15of a sewing club, bowling league, and St. Patrick Parish in
16Wadsworth; she enjoyed word searches, bingo, Jeopardy, cross
17stitching, and spending time with her family; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Sheila Jakaitis was preceded in death by her
19parents; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Sheila Jakaitis is survived by her husband of 50

1years, Edmund; her children, Sherri (Ron) Bulow, Joleen
2Jakaitis, and Michelle (Henri) Krueger; her grandchildren,
3Aubrey and Kaydence Krueger; her sister, Shirley Porter; her
4brothers-in-law, Tom (Donna) and Larry (Sue) Jakaitis; and many
5nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Sheila M. Jakaitis and extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Sheila Jakaitis as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
