HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Christina
4A. "Chris" Miller of Ottawa, who passed away on October 9,
52019; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Chris Miller was born in Honolulu, Hawaii at
7Tripler Army Hospital to John and Marilyn (O'Neil) Kuhn on
8April 20, 1954; she attended St. Patrick's Grade School and
9Marquette High School, where she was inducted into its Hall of
10Fame; she married Tom Miller at St. Patrick's Church in Ottawa
11on December 13, 1975; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Chris Miller was recently appointed to the
13position of job coach at Ottawa High School; she was a retiree
14of Financial Plus; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Chris Miller was a devoted member of St. Patrick's
16Church; she wanted to serve others and traveled to Kansas City
17to work with the Dominican Sisters as an Apostolic Volunteer;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Chris Miller was preceded in death by her
20grandparents; her parents; her in-laws; her brother, Marty
21Kuhn; and her granddaughter, Marleigh Miller; and

1    WHEREAS, Chris Miller is survived by her husband, Tom; her
2children, Ed (Jayme), Katie (John), John (Heather), Stu
3(Angela), Shari, Peggy, Jaci, and Marty; 24 grandchildren;
4numerous nieces and nephews; her brother, Steve (Shelly) Kuhn;
5her sister-in-law, Gay Kuhn; and several aunts, uncles,
6cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
8HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
9we mourn the passing of Christina A. "Chris" Miller and extend
10our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who
11knew and loved her; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Chris Miller as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
