HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, During the 100th General Assembly, House Joint
3Resolution 59 created the Cybersecurity Task Force within the
4Illinois Commerce Commission to review the Joint Analysis
5Report from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the
6Federal Bureau of Investigation dated December 29, 2016 and
7entitled "Grizzly Steppe - Russian Malicious Cyber Activity"
8and develop strategies to either implement or reject the report
9recommendations; and
 
10    WHEREAS, The Cybersecurity Task Force was to report its
11findings and recommendations to the General Assembly by
12December 31, 2018; and
 
13    WHEREAS, The Cybersecurity Task Force needs additional
14time to complete its work; therefore, be it
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
16HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE
17SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Cybersecurity Task Force
18shall report its findings to the General Assembly as required
19by House Joint Resolution 59 of the 100th General Assembly no
20later than December 31, 2019; and be it further
 
21    RESOLVED, That with this extension, the Cybersecurity Task

1Force shall continue to operate as provided under House
2Resolution 59 of the 100th General Assembly.
