SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
    Authorizes the Director of the Department of Children and Family Services to execute and deliver a quitclaim deed for specified real property located in Cook County to the Carole Robertson Center for Learning upon payment of $1, subject to specified conditions. Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning property.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. Subject to the conditions set forth in Section
510, the Director of the Department of Children and Family
6Services, on behalf of the State of Illinois, shall execute and
7deliver to the Carole Robertson Center for Learning, an
8Illinois not-for-profit corporation, for and in consideration
9of $1 paid to the Department, a quitclaim deed to the following
10described real property:
 
11    Lot 1 (except the West 8.0 feet thereof), Lot 14 (except
12    the West 8.0 feet thereof), and Lots 2 through 7, both
13    inclusive, all in Block 1, together with the 16 foot
14    vacated alley lying East of the East line of Lot 14 and
15    lying West of the West line of Lots 2 thru 7, both
16    inclusive, and lying North of the North line of the C.B.& Q
17    R.R. right of way all in Block 1 in Levi P. Morton's
18    subdivision of the SE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 24,
19    Township 39 North, Range 13 (excepting the right of way of
20    the C.B.& Q. R.R.) all in Cook County.
 
21    Section 10. Conditions of conveyance.
22    (a) The quitclaim deed executed under Section 5 shall

1convey all right, title, and interest of the State of Illinois
2and the Department of Children and Family Services in and to
3the real property described in Section 5 to the Carole
4Robertson Center for Learning.
5    (b) The conveyance of real property authorized by Section 5
6shall be made subject to existing public utilities, existing
7public roads, and any and all reservations, easements,
8encumbrances, covenants, and restrictions of record.
9    (c) The quitclaim deed to the Carole Robertson Center for
10Learning shall state on its face and be subject to the
11conditions that the real property shall be used by the Carole
12Robertson Center for Learning for a public child care facility
13and that if the Carole Robertson Center for Learning ceases to
14exist, if the real property is used for any purposes other than
15a public child care facility, or if an attempt is made to sell
16the property, then title shall revert without further action to
17the State of Illinois.
 
18    Section 15. Recording. The Director of the Department of
19Children and Family Services shall prepare one or more
20quitclaim deeds to convey the real property. The Director may
21also record a certified copy of this Act. Each quitclaim deed
22shall reference this Act and contain the reversionary language
23from subsection (c) of Section 10. All documents of conveyance
24shall be recorded in the county in which the land is located.
 
25    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
