| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2770 on page 4, by |
| 3 | | replacing lines 24 and 25 with the following: |
| 4 | | "patients and staff members, no fewer than 2 registered nurses |
| 5 | | and no fewer than 2 mental health technicians shall be"; and

| 6 | | on page 5, by inserting immediately below line 10 the |
| 7 | | following: |
| 8 | | "In this subsection (f), if a registered nurse or mental |
| 9 | | health technician is assigned to 2 or more units, the |
| 10 | | calculation of the number of registered nurses or mental health |
| 11 | | technicians who are assigned to a unit shall be calculated for |
| 12 | | each registered nurse or mental health technician as one |
| 13 | | divided by the number of units to which the registered nurse or |
| 14 | | mental health technician is assigned.".
