SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $500,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University for restoration of funding for undergraduate governmental intern stipends and the associated academic credit, as set forth in the Vince Demuzio Governmental Internship Program. Effective July 1, 2020.

AN ACT concerning appropriations.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:
Section 5. The amount of $500,000, or so much of that amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University for restoration of funding for undergraduate governmental intern stipends and the associated academic credit, as set forth in the Vince Demuzio Governmental Internship Program established under Section 8i of the Southern Illinois University Management Act.
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2020.
