SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dorothy B. Dixon of Moline, who passed
4away on December 3, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dorothy Dixon was born in Chetek, Wisconsin to
6Chester and Vivian (McGraw) Stotts on February 21, 1920; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Dorothy Dixon served in the Women's Corps of the
8United States Army during World War II and was stationed in the
9Asiatic Pacific Theater; after the war, she worked as a
10secretary at the Rock Island Arsenal; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Dorothy Dixon was a member of the V.F.W.; she
12enjoyed playing Bingo and going to Jumer's; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Dorothy Dixon was preceded in death by her
14parents; her husband, Kenneth; her sisters, Myrna Stotts and
15Margie Reed; her brothers, Charles Stotts and Gene Stotts; and
16her niece Myrna Adamson; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Dorothy Dixon is survived by her nieces and
18nephews, Evelyn, Carol, Pat, Ronny, Carl, Shirley, Dottie, and
19Peggy; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of
3Dorothy B. Dixon and extend our sincere condolences to her
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Dorothy Dixon as an expression of
8our deepest sympathy.
