SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Terry T. McConnaughay of Geneva, who
4passed away on August 8, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Terry McConnaughay was born in Bluford to James
6and Mary (Bowling) McConnaughay on February 2, 1920; he served
7in the U.S. Air Force during World War II in the European
8theater and received the Bronze Medal; he married Rocadella C.
9"Rockie" Perrone in 1946; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Terry McConnaughay worked for Geneva Modern
11Kitchens for 25 years; he co-founded and was the owner and
12operator of the Duralam Company in Elburn, a manufacturer of
13countertops and cabinets; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Terry McConnaughay was an avid reader; he enjoyed
15studying American history and watching Jeopardy; he also
16enjoyed gardening and loved being outdoors and fishing at his
17cottage in northern Wisconsin; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Terry McConnaughay was preceded in death by his
19wife, Rockie; his son, James; his parents; and his siblings,
20James O., Glenn, William, Norma Lundberg, and Ronald; and

1    WHEREAS, Terry McConnaughay is survived by his
2daughter-in-law, Peggy (James); his sons, Dale (Catherine Ann)
3and Mark; his grandchildren, Erin McConnaughay, Rebecca
4Bratcher, Brent McConnaughay, and Bryce McConnaughay; his
5great-grandchildren, Kate Lee, Jack Lang, and Evan Bratcher;
6his brother, Paul (Lois); his sister, Isabelle Fisher; and many
7nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Terry T. McConnaughay, and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Terry McConnaughay as an expression
15of our deepest sympathy.
