SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Dennis Wayne Durham of Moline, who passed 
4away on August 18, 2018; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dennis Durham was born in Rock Island to Eldo and 
6Florence (Hoffman) Durham on April 11, 1945; he married Ilene 
7Kay Buckrop in Lancaster, Missouri on May 29, 1964; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Dennis Durham served in the United States Navy for 
9four years and then served eight years in the United States Air 
10Force before he was medically retired; he then worked at the 
11Rock Island Arsenal; after retirement, he worked at Target in 
12Davenport for four years; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Dennis Durham was a member of the Redeemer 
14Lutheran Church in Bettendorf and the Quad City Chapter No. 2 
15of DAV; he loved music, especially oldies, and fishing; and
  
 
  
16    WHEREAS, Dennis Durham is survived by his wife, Ilene; his 
17children and their spouses, Dale and Julie Durham, Dwayne and 
18Jenny Durham, LeAndrea and Troy Scott, and Kimberly and Jason 
19Mays; his six grandchildren; and his siblings and their 
20spouses, Ronald and Susie Durham, Betty Johnson, and Shirley 
21and Walter Kehler; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Dennis Wayne Durham and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Dennis Durham as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
