SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of George T. Hellmann of Richmond, who
4passed away on January 2, 2018; and
 
5    WHEREAS, George Hellmann was born in Covington, Kentucky to
6Wilfrid and Dorothy (Herrmann) Hellmann on December 31, 1935;
7he served in the United States Army as a SP/4 in the Signal
8Corps from June 1960 until November 1962; he married Kathleen
9Steinwand in Colby, Wisconsin on June 6, 1964; and
 
10    WHEREAS, George Hellmann was a self-employed installer and
11repairman for Carillon Music for over 50 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, George Hellmann was a member of the Paul C.
13Hoffman American Legion Post #253 in Richmond, DeSoto Motor
14Cars of Illinois, the Walter P. Chrysler Club, the Illinois
15Railroad Museum, the Midwest Train Collectors, and the
16Stateline Classic Antique Touring Society; he enjoyed
17photography, radios, theater organ, trains, and cars; and
 
18    WHEREAS, George Hellmann was preceded in death by his
19parents; and three of his brothers, Billy, Jerry, and Dennis
20Hellmann; and

1    WHEREAS, George Hellmann is survived by his wife, Kate; his
2sons, Andrew (Cyndi Motley) Hellmann and Jon Hellmann; his
3granddaughter, Airman Basic Jasmine Hellmann; his sisters,
4Mary Carol Hellmann OSB, Dots (Dave) Due, Marney Bresser, and
5Ginny (Jim) Robke; his brothers, Fred (Linda) Hellmann and
6Steve (Jane Hellmann); therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9George T. Hellmann and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of George Hellmann as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
