SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Regina Celeste Donelan of Springfield,
4who passed away on November 8, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Regina Donelan was born in Springfield to James
6and Regina (Zimmerman) Coogan on September 4, 1927; she
7graduated from Sacred Heart Grade School and Sacred Heart
8Academy; she married Thomas Donelan; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Regina Donelan worked as a secretary for the
10Illinois State Senate; she retired from the Attorney General's
11Office; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Regina Donelan was a member of St. Agnes parish
13and attended the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception; she
14was a member of the Women's Club of Springfield, the St.
15Joseph's Home Rosemary Circle Coterie, and several card clubs;
16she volunteered with St. John's Hospital Samaritans and
17Caregivers Interfaith Volunteer Service; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Regina Donelan was preceded in death by her
19parents; her husband, Thomas; her son, John Donelan; her
20daughter, Barbara Ann Donelan; her brothers, John and James;
21and her sisters, Cecelia Jane Richmond and Catherine Vestal;

2    WHEREAS, Regina Donelan is survived by her sons, Paul M.
3(Malissa "Missy" Wyzard) Donelan and Thomas M. Donelan; her
4daughter-in-law, Jeannie Baldes Donelan; her grandchildren,
5James (Cassandra Musgrave), Steve, Tara, Matthew, Paul, and
6Tommy; her great-grandchildren, Luke, Michael, Elizabeth,
7John, Nicholas, and Andrew; and her sister, Rosemarie Coogan;
8therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Regina Celeste Donelan and extend our sincere condolences to
12her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Regina Donelan as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
