SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Russell Field Triebel of Peoria, who
4passed away on September 25, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Field Triebel was born in Peoria to Carl O. and
6Margaret (Hunter) Triebel on September 21, 1928; he graduated
7from Peoria High School in 1947; he attended DePauw University
8and was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity; following his
9graduation from DePauw in 1951, he was drafted into the United
10States Army, where he taught in the radar school at Fort Bliss,
11Texas; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Upon returning to Peoria, Field Triebel managed
13the Hunter Lumber Company; he later joined his father and
14brother as co-owner of Ideal Troy Cleaners; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Field Triebel was active in the Peoria community;
16he was a member of the Rotary Club of Peoria for 61 years and a
17longstanding member of the Country Club of Peoria, where he
18enjoyed many years of golf and tennis; he served on the
19Illinois Central College Foundation; he was an active, lifelong
20member of First Federated Church, where he also served on the
21Executive Board; he enjoyed duck hunting, fishing, tennis, and
22golf, where he made valuable friendships; and

1    WHEREAS, Field Triebel was preceded in death by his
2parents; his wife, Jeannine; his son, Thomas Field Triebel; his
3sister, Jean T. Dampier; and his brother, John H. "Jack"
4Triebel; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Field Triebel is survived by his daughter, Deborah
6Field Triebel; his daughter-in-law, Karen (John) Calder; his
7granddaughters, Megan (Michael) Stoll, Melissa (James) Bello,
8and Margaret Triebel; his five great-grandchildren, Thomas,
9Jack, and Oliver Stoll and Dominic and Elise Bello; and his
10nephew, Hunter (Shirley) Triebel; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Russell Field Triebel and extend our sincere condolences to his
14friends, family, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Field Triebel as an expression of
18our deepest sympathy.
