SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Wanda Anne Ligos of Joliet, who passed
4away on July 3, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Wanda Ligos graduated from Providence Catholic
6High School; she married Louis Ligos during the blizzard of
71944; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Wanda Ligos worked for the Joliet News Paper
9Agency for over 50 years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Wanda Ligos was a lifelong member of the Joliet
11East Side Athletic Club; she was a member of the Catholic faith
12and the Ss. Cyril & Methodius Parish Rosary Society; she
13enjoyed crocheting, playing bunco, and was extremely
14organized; she was a great cook and enjoyed baking potica,
15perogie, roski, and her famous Texas cake brownies; she was a
16devoted Chicago Cubs fan and celebrated their World Series win
17with tremendous pride; she cherished the moments she shared
18with her family; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Wanda Ligos was preceded in death by her husband,
20Louis J. Ligos Sr.; her son, Louis J. Ligos Jr.; her
21daughter-in-law, Eileen Ligos (Rink); her parents, Paul and

1Mary Ustaszewksi; and her siblings, Gertrude, Emil, Catherine,
2Bernise, Peter, Stanley, and Edward; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Wanda Ligos is survived by her daughter and
4son-in-law, Carol and Roger Tooley; her granddaughters,
5Bethany (Marco Albores) Tooley and Alicia (Jason Berg) Tooley;
6and her great-grandchildren, Joaquin Antonio Albores and
7Elowyn Rae Tooley-Berg; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Wanda Anne Ligos of Joliet, and extend our sincere condolences
11to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
12it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Wanda Ligos as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
