SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Edith J. Nichols of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on March 23, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edith Nichols was born in Brooklyn, New York on
6October 19, 1928; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Edith Nichols retired after 20 years as an
8administrative assistant at McHenry County College; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Edith Nichols enjoyed making creative Halloween
10displays at the college; she loved animals, reading, sewing,
11and art, but most of all, she loved spending time with her
12family; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Edith Nichols was the beloved wife of the late
14Burnett W.; the loving mother of Sue and the late John Nichols;
15and the devoted grandmother of Erica Escamilla, Jordanne,
16Grace, and Isabel Nichols; therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
19Edith J. Nichols, and extend our sincere condolences to her
20family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
