HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, On Veterans Day, November 12, 2018, our great 
3nation is honoring the
sacrifice of many individuals and 
4families; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Every soldier marching off to war realized through 
6this sacrifice that "peace begins with me"; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Our great nation has, from its beginnings, 
8promoted the cause of true family values for all peoples; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Pilgrim fathers and mothers built their churches 
10and schools before even building their
own homes; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, The Family Federation for World Peace and 
12Unification, which was founded by the Rev. Sun
Myung Moon and 
13Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, is co-hosting  a rally with the American 
14Clergy Leadership Conference entitled Peace Starts With Me, a 
15calling to heal America through music, prayer and inspiration; 
16The key note address, Healing America: A Personal
Message of 
17Reconciliation and Hope, will be delivered by Dr. Hak Ja Han 
18Moon; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, A 5000-voice choir and world renowned Grammy 
20Award-winning musicians, Hezekiah
Walker, A. Curtis Farrow,

1and Yolanda Adams will be participating in this history making 
2celebration; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
4HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5Veterans Day, Monday, November 12, 2018 is recognized as a day

6of reconciliation and healing for America; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
8presented to the
programs co-sponsors, the Universal Peace 
9Federation, the American Clergy Leadership Conference, and
the 
10Family Federation for World Peace and Unification.
