<reference>305 ILCS 5/4-1.6</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 23, par. 4-1.6</aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that the first $100 of child support collected on behalf of a family in a month for one child and the first $200 of child support collected on behalf of a family in a month for 2 or more children shall be passed through to the family and disregarded in determining the amount of the assistance grant provided to the family. Provides that any amount of child support that would be disregarded in determining the amount of the assistance grant shall be disregarded in determining eligibility for cash assistance. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Fiscal Note (Dept. of Healthcare & Family Services)</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>The increase of the child support pass-through amount to $100 for one child families, and $200 for families with more than one child, will decrease the State's share of retained collections by an estimated $1.2M annually. Retained child support collections comprise part of the State's overall support for the Child Support Administrative Budget, and therefore any reduction in retained child support collections could result in a corresponding budget pressure for GRF in order to replace the decrease to retained child support revenues.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Judicial Note, House Floor Amendment No. 1 (Admin Office of the Illinois Courts)</synopsistitle>
