Provides that sellers of roofing services may subcontract the provision of those roofing services to independent contractors who are licensed under the Act.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Committee Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<reftype>Adds reference to:</reftype><reference>225 ILCS 335/3</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 111, par. 7503</aliasreference><SynopsisText>Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends Illinois Roofing Industry Licensing Act. Provides that an applicant for a license must submit satisfactory evidence that he or she has an unemployment insurance employer account number issued by the Department of Employment Security, and that he or she is not delinquent in the payment of any amount due under the Unemployment Insurance Act. Provides that all persons performing work on a roofing project shall be licensed as a roofing contractor, except for those persons who are deemed to be employees under Section 10 of the Employee Classification Act of a licensed roofing contractor.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
