SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Nancy Schillerstrom of Naperville, who 
4passed away on September 3, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born May 7, 1930 in Maywood; she grew up 
6in Chicago's western suburbs and was a 1948 graduate of 
7Hinsdale High School; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, She was a homemaker for many years, and also 
9worked at Argonne National Laboratory and later as office 
10manager for the accounting firm of Schillerstrom & Kabza in 
11Naperville; she was an early member of Our Saviour's Lutheran 
12Church and a current member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 
13both in Naperville; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, She was active in Republican Party politics, 
15serving as a precinct committeeman and election judge, both in 
16Lisle and Naperville Townships; she was also a volunteer at 
17Edward Hospital and was active in Naperville Little League and 
18Pony League youth baseball; she loved dogs and cats and will be 
19remembered by many for her role as a surrogate mother and 
20confidante to her children's friends; and
  
 
21    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen C.

1Schillerstrom; her parents, LaVerne and Mabel Rowder; and her 
2brother, Merl Crawford; and
  
 
3    WHEREAS, Nancy Schillerstrom was the loving mother of David 
4(Marty), Robert "Bob" (MaryBeth), William "Bill", Martha (Jim) 
5Nilles, John (Stacey), and Curt (Angela); the adored 
6grandmother of Kevin, Erik, Corinne, Connor, Curtis, 
7Katherine, Brittany, Nathan, Emily, Cassidy, Callan, Kelsy, 
8Noa, Nicole, Tessa, Megan, and Alex; and the loving aunt of 5; 
9therefore, be it
  
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
12her family and friends, the passing of Nancy Schillerstrom; and 
13be it further
  
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
15presented to the family of Nancy Schillerstrom as a symbol of 
16our sincere sympathy.
