Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Oil and Gas Act. Provides that the Department of Natural Resources shall adopt rules that prohibit hydraulic fracturing in designated State areas. Provides that the provision applies only to the extraction of natural gas from shale. Effective immediately.
