| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Joan D. Carmody of Carlinville, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on April 27, 2010; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on November 12, 1934, in St. Louis, |
| 6 |
| Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Norma (Scherder) Daily; |
| 7 |
| she married Thomas P. Carmody in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 6, |
| 8 |
| 1961; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, She graduated from Bayless High School in St. |
| 10 |
| Louis, Missouri, St. John's Mercy School of Nursing, and |
| 11 |
| Blackburn College; she was a nurse, homemaker, wife, and |
| 12 |
| mother; she was a member of Ss. Mary & Joseph Catholic Church |
| 13 |
| and the Ladies Bridge Club; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Joan Carmody is survived by her husband, Thomas P. |
| 16 |
| Carmody; her son, Stephen R. Carmody (Tracy); her daughter, Dr. |
| 17 |
| Susan Joan Carmody (Tim Taylor); her grandchildren, Clare and |
| 18 |
| Patrick Carmody, Ryan and Adare Carmody, and Grace and |
| 19 |
| Catherine Joan Taylor; her sisters, Patricia Grimes and Carmen |
| 20 |
| Dvorak; her brother, Dave Daily (Barbara); and several nieces |
| 21 |
| and nephews; therefore, be it
