Amends the Illinois Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. Provides that notwithstanding any law to the contrary, no prescription drug that was manufactured in a country other the United States of America may be sold within this State at a price that exceeds 135% of the price for which that drug is sold within the country in which it was manufactured.

| AN ACT concerning drug prices.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act is |

| amended by adding Section 25.5 as follows: |

| (410 ILCS 620/25.5 new) |

| Sec. 25.5. Fair drug pricing. Notwithstanding any law to |
| 8 |
| contrary, no prescription drug that was manufactured in a |
| 9 |
| country other the United States of America may be sold within |
| 10 |
| this State at a price that exceeds 135% of the price for which |
| 11 |
| it is sold within the country in which it was manufactured.
