<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>New Act</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Creates the Mold Remediation Employee Notification Act. Contains only a short title provision.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Senate Committee Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Provides that a business owner or a representative of the business owner shall provide notification, including a scheduled date and timeframe, prior to any mold remediation activities of areas measuring 30 square feet or more to all affected employees in the building where the remediation is being conducted. Provides that it is recommended that an industrial hygienist or other trained environmental health and safety professional is consulted prior to remediation activities and that parties providing mold remediation services are registered professionals. Provides that once mold remediation is complete, a business owner or a representative of the business owner shall provide notification of the completed action that was taken to remedy the mold issue to all affected employees in the building where the remediation was being conducted. Provides that notification to employees may be done in writing or by posting in a conspicuous and accessible location.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
