<reference>35 ILCS 5/203</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 120, par. 2-203</aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Illinois Income Tax Act. Creates an income tax deduction for individual taxpayers in an amount equal to the qualified adoption expenses paid by the taxpayer that are related to the taxpayer's adoption of an eligible child. Provides that the deduction may be claimed only for the taxable year in which the adoption becomes final but may include qualified adoption expenses paid in prior taxable years. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
