<reference>40 ILCS 5/3-148.5 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>40 ILCS 5/4-139.5 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Downstate Police and Downstate Firefighter Articles of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that, if not otherwise a party, the municipality is entitled to appear, as a matter of right, in any proceeding involving a participant or a beneficiary under the Articles that might result in a final administrative decision by the board. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
