<SynopsisText> Resolves that a task force shall be created to investigate how the State can reduce the incidence of preterm births.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Floor Amendment No. 2</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Eliminates language resolving that a task force shall be created to investigate how Illinois can reduce the incidence of preterm births in Illinois and instead urges the Perinatal Advisory Committee within the Illinois Department of Public Health to investigate how Illinois can reduce the incidence of preterm births in Illinois. Resolves that the Perinatal Advisory Committee shall consult with a representative of the Illinois Department of Public Health and a representative of the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (rather than the task force shall be composed of the Director of Public Health, who shall serve as the Chair of the task force; 2 members of the State Board of Health; the Director of the Maternal and Child Health Advisory Board; a neonatologist; a social worker; and a preemie nurse). Eliminates language resolving that the Department of Public Health shall provide or work with stakeholders to provide logistical and support staff to the task force. Resolves that the Perinatal Advisory Committee (rather than the task force) shall submit a written report to the General Assembly on or before November 1, 2012 (rather than on or before November 1, 2011).</SynopsisText></synopsis>
