<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>     Creates the School Transportation Task Force to study the possibility of enacting legislation making changes to current transportation programs offered by the Illinois State Board of Education.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Committee Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Replaces everything after the heading with similar provisions, but with changes that include the following. Makes changes concerning the membership of the School Transportation Task Force. Eliminates one member appointed by the State Superintendent of Education and one member appointed by the Secretary of the Department of Transportation. Provides for one member representing school transportation providers, one member representing school boards, and one member representing school administrators. Provides that the State Superintendent of Education and the Secretary of the Department of Transportation, or their designees, may at their discretion serve on the Task Force ex officio. Provides that the Office of the Governor shall provide administrative support to the Task Force to the extent of its abilities (instead of providing that the Illinois State Board of Education shall provide administrative and financial support to the Task Force). Provides that the Task Force shall report its findings and recommendations by June 30 (instead of December 31), 2010.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
