<reference>215 ILCS 5/368d</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Illinois Insurance Code. In the provision concerning recoupment, provides that no recoupment or offset may be requested or withheld from future payments 180 or more days after the original payment is made. Provides that no contract between an insurer and a health care professional or health care provider may provide for recoupments in violation of the provision concerning recoupment.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Committee Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the contents of the introduced bill with the following changes. Provides that no recoupment or offset may be requested or withheld from future payments 366 (instead of 180) or more days after the original payment. Provides for an exception for cases where a court, government administrative agency, or other tribunal has made a formal adjudication of fraud.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
