<SynopsisText>Removes language providing that if an insurer's cancellation provision provides that the insured may cancel the policy by the nonpayment of premium, then the insured may give written notification of cancellation of a group health insurance policy up to the last day of the policy year or the policy may lapse for nonpayment of premium. Provides instead that the cancellation provision shall provide that the policy automatically lapses for nonpayment of premium due retroactive through the last day of the last month for which the premium was paid. Allows the insured to choose to cancel the group health insurance policy with written notification up to the last day of the policy year.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
