<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>730 ILCS 5/3-2-2</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 38, par. 1003-2-2</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Provides that effective July 1, 2009, all employees providing medical services at all facilities of the Illinois Department of Corrections or the Department of Juvenile Justice, and those employees providing support services to those employees at those facilities, shall become State employees. Provides that this provision shall not disrupt the existing collective bargaining units or collective bargaining representation of those employees who shall remain represented by their certified collective bargaining representative under their existing collective bargaining agreements. Permits an existing collective bargaining representative to petition the State Panel of the Illinois Labor Relations Board for unit clarification to include any or all of the employees in an existing bargaining unit with a medical vendor into an existing appropriate collective bargaining unit or units of State employees which are represented by the same bargaining agent. <SynopsisText>The Department estimates that the legislative changes proposed in HB 2375 would result in an annual fiscal impact of $7.3 million.
