    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5343, AS AMENDED,

with reference to page and line numbers of House Amendment No.

1, by replacing line 16 on page 1 and lines 1 through 4 on page

2 with the following:

"offer alternatives, when appropriate, to avoid commitment to

the Department of Juvenile Justice, to direct child welfare 
8
services for minors charged with a criminal offense or 
9
adjudicated delinquent under Section 5 of the Children and 
10
Family Services Act. The"; and

on page 2, line 13, by replacing "incarceration" with 
12
"commitment to the Department of Juvenile Justice"; and
 
13
on page 9, line 24, after "Secretary", by inserting "of Human 
14
Services"; and

on page 12, after line 12, by inserting the following:
