Amends the Counties Code. Provides that, if an employee who is covered under a retirement system or pension fund created under the Illinois Pension Code is convicted of a job-related felony, the State's Attorney must notify the board of trustees for that retirement system or pension fund. Effective immediately.

| AN ACT concerning local government.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Counties Code is amended by adding Section |
| 5 |
| 3-9013 as follows: |

| (55 ILCS 5/3-9013 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 3-9013. Pension funds; job-related felony. If an |
| 8 |
| employee who is covered under a retirement system or pension |
| 9 |
| fund created under the Illinois Pension Code is convicted of a |
| 10 |
| job-related felony, the State's Attorney must notify the board |
| 11 |
| of trustees for that retirement system or pension fund.

| Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 13 |
| becoming law.
