| AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4518

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4518 on page 2, |
| 3 |
| immediately below line 16, by inserting the following: |

| "(d) Within 60 days after the effective date of this |
| 5 |
| amendatory Act of the 95th General Assembly, the duly elected |
| 6 |
| members of a board of trustees of a library established under |
| 7 |
| this Act may meet and appoint a sufficient number of persons to |
| 8 |
| establish a quorum to conduct business. Those appointed shall |
| 9 |
| serve as though elected and hold office only until the next |
| 10 |
| regularly scheduled election for library trustee.".
