| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 5-16.2 as follows:
|

| Sec. 5-16.2. Long range plan for case management. The
The
|
| 8 |
| Illinois Department
shall develop a long range plan for the |
| 9 |
| implementation of case management
services, as defined in |
| 10 |
| Section 5-16.1 of this Act, throughout Illinois. The
long range |
| 11 |
| plan shall include: (i) a geographic overview of the State and |
| 12 |
| the
proportion, as determined by the Department of Public Aid |
| 13 |
| and the Department of
Public Health records, of Medicaid |
| 14 |
| eligible pregnant or parenting girls under
17 years of age at |
| 15 |
| the time of the initial assessment; (ii) identification of
high |
| 16 |
| proportion areas; (iii) goals for reducing the likelihood of |
| 17 |
| long-term
welfare dependency; (iv) the time frames for |
| 18 |
| accomplishing the identified
goals; and (v) specific |
| 19 |
| recommendations for administrative or legislative
policies and |
| 20 |
| programs necessary to complete the identified goals. The long
|
| 21 |
| range plan shall take into consideration other resources |
| 22 |
| currently serving the
identified population. The long range |

| plan shall be completed no later than
July 1, 1994, and |
