    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1947 on page 1, line

6, after "16,", by inserting "17.9,"; and

on page 17, line 24, by replacing "contest: (1)" with "contest:

(1)"; and

on page 18, by replacing lines 3 and 4 with the following:

"proceeds thereof. Any promoter who conducts a contest under 
8
this Act must, within 24 hours after the contest, ; and (2) pay 
9
to the Department a tax of 3%
10% of the first $500,000 of

10
gross receipts from the sale of admission"; and
 
11
on page 23, immediately below line 14, by inserting the 
12
following:

    Sec. 17.9. Summary suspension of a license. The Director

2
may summarily
suspend a license without a hearing if the 
3
Director finds that evidence in
the
Director's possession

4
indicates that the continuation of practice would constitute an 
5
imminent
danger to the public, participants, including any 
6
contest officials, or the
individual involved or cause harm to 
7
the profession. If the Director summarily suspends the
license

8
without a hearing, a hearing must be commenced within 30 days 
9
after the
suspension has occurred
and concluded as 
10
expeditiously as practical.
