| AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 1517

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1517 on page 6, line |

| 9, by inserting after the period the following: |

| "If before trial or plea, an information or indictment is filed |
| 5 |
| that includes one or more charges under the criminal laws of |
| 6 |
| this State and additional charges that are classified as |
| 7 |
| misdemeanors that are subject to proceedings under this Act, |
| 8 |
| all of the charges arising out of the same incident shall be |
| 9 |
| prosecuted under the criminal laws of this State. If after |
| 10 |
| trial or plea the court finds that the minor committed an |
| 11 |
| offense that is solely classified as a misdemeanor, the court |
| 12 |
| must proceed under Section 5-705 and 5-710 of this Act.".
