| AN ACT concerning children.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Abandoned Newborn Infant Protection Act is |
| 5 |
| amended by adding Section 37 as follows:
|

| (325 ILCS 2/37 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 37. Public disclosure of information prohibited. |
| 8 |
| Emergency medical professionals, employees, or other persons |
| 9 |
| engaged in the administration or operation of a fire station, |
| 10 |
| police station, hospital, emergency medical facility, child |
| 11 |
| placing agency, or the Department where a baby has been |
| 12 |
| relinquished or transferred under this Act, are prohibited from |
| 13 |
| publicly disclosing any information concerning the |
| 14 |
| relinquishment of the infant and the individuals involved, |
| 15 |
| except as otherwise provided by law.
