<reference>30 ILCS 105/5.708 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>430 ILCS 65/5</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 38, par. 83-5</aliasreference><reference>430 ILCS 65/5.5 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the State Finance Act and the Firearm Owners Identification Card Act. Creates the Community Policing Grant Fund in the State treasury. Provides that moneys in the Fund shall, subject to appropriation, be distributed upon the approval of the Director of State Police as grants to local law enforcement agencies for community policing programs. Provides that moneys in the Fund shall be distributed proportionately to local law enforcement agencies in each county based upon the fees collected from the issuance of Firearm Owner's Identification Cards to residents of that county. Increases the fee for the issuance of a Firearm Owner's Identification Card by $5 and provides that $5 of the fee shall be deposited into the Community Policing Grant Fund.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
