<reference>720 ILCS 5/12-9</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 38, par. 12-9</aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Criminal Code of 1961 concerning the offense of threatening a public official. Includes in the definition of "public official" a sworn law enforcement or peace officer.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the bill. Also provides that for purposes of a threat to a sworn law enforcement officer, the threat must contain specific facts indicative of a unique threat to the person, family or property of the officer and not a generalized threat of harm.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
