<reference>30 ILCS 105/5.675 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>625 ILCS 5/3-664 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code and the State Finance Act. Creates the Illinois Professional Golfers Association Foundation Junior Golf Fund as a special fund in the State treasury. Provides for the issuance of Illinois Professional Golfers Association Foundation Junior Golf license plates. Provides that in addition to the appropriate registration fees, an applicant for the special plate shall be charged a fee of $40 at original issuance and at renewal. Provides that $25 of the additional original issuance fee and $38 of the renewal fee shall be deposited into the Illinois Professional Golfers Association Foundation Junior Golf Fund. Provides that $15 of the original issuance fee and $2 of the renewal fee shall be deposited into the Secretary of State Special License Plate Fund. Provides that, subject to appropriation by the General Assembly and approval by the Secretary of State, the moneys in the Illinois Professional Golfers Association Foundation Junior Golf Fund shall be paid as grants to the Illinois Professional Golfers Association Foundation to help Association members expose Illinois youngsters to the game of golf. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<reftype>Adds reference to:</reftype><reference>625 ILCS 5/3-629</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Amends the provision regarding Collegiate license plates. Provides that the plates may be issued for a not-for-profit private college or university located in a state contiguous to this State, if not less than 10,000 alumni of that college or university reside in Illinois. Deletes language providing that all moneys in the University Grant Fund shall be used to make reimbursements to participating private colleges and universities. Provides that the State Treasurer shall create separate accounts within the University Grant Fund for each university or college for which plates have been issued. Provides that moneys in the University Grant Fund shall be allocated to each account in proportion to the number of plates sold with regard to each college or university. Provides that moneys deposited into these accounts the preceding year shall be distributed to participating private colleges and universities. Provides that moneys deposited into these accounts and into the Department of Revenue shall be used for the sole purpose of scholarship grant awards to Illinois residents.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
