In provisions concerning the health care benefits for retirees of the Chicago Transit Authority, provides that a retiree hired on or before September 5, 2001 who retires with 25 years or more of continuous service shall be eligible for retiree health care benefits upon retirement (formerly, retirees who retired prior to the effective date of Senate Bill 1920 with 25 years or more of continuous service or who retires within 90 days after that effective date or by January 1, 2009, whichever is later, with 25 years or more of continuous service were eligible).
