<reference>New Act</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Creates the Official Flags Restricted Sales Act. Provides that no person shall sell or offer for sale at retail in Illinois after January 1, 2009, any of the following flags, unless the flag was manufactured in the United States: the United States flag, the State flag of Illinois, or a MIA or POW flag. Provides that a person who violates this prohibition is guilty of a Class C misdemeanor.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Creates the Official United States Flag Display Act. Provides that each agency of the State government and each unit of local government shall ensure that each United States flag that is flown at each building, structure, or facility that is owned or occupied entirely by the agency or unit of local government is manufactured in the United States.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
