<reference>New Act</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Creates the Landlord Accountability Act. Makes legislative findings. Provides for relocation assistance to be paid by a landlord to a tenant if a tenant's dwelling is condemned or declared unlawful to occupy. Provides that a municipality or other unit of local government may pay relocation assistance to a tenant forced to relocate under the described circumstances and then file an action to collect that amount plus interest, costs, fines, and attorney's fees from the landlord and file a lien for this amount against the property if the amount is not paid. Provides further procedures for enforcement, appeals, and related matters.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
