<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>105 ILCS 5/21-30 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the School Code. Subject to appropriation, requires the State Board of Education to establish and administer a program that provides stipends to teachers who choose to teach at hard-to-staff public schools in this State. Provides that under the program, if a teacher who has at least 4 years of experience agrees to teach at a hard-to-staff school for 5 years, the teacher is entitled to a $20,000 stipend over those 5 years. Provides that the stipend may be paid out each year that the teacher teaches at a hard-to-staff school or may be paid as a lump sum after the teacher has completed 5 years of teaching at a hard-to-staff school.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Provides that there is no rulemaking authority under the amendatory Act, but that the Governor may suggest rules by filing them with the General Assembly and requesting that the General Assembly authorize such rulemaking by law, enact the suggested rules into law, or take other appropriate action in the General Assembly's discretion.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
