<reference>225 ILCS 335/4.5</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Illinois Roofing Industry Licensing Act. Exempts an individual seeking to serve as the newly designated qualifying party of a licensee under the Act from the examination requirement if that individual has acted in the capacity of a roofing contractor for a period of at least 15 years for the licensee for which he or she seeks to be the qualifying party.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<reftype>Adds reference to:</reftype><reference>225 ILCS 335/5</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 111, par. 7505</aliasreference><SynopsisText>Further amends the Illinois Roofing Industry Licensing Act. Sets forth fines that shall be imposed if a general contractor applies for a building permit with a unit of local government and knowingly submits a roofing license number that is not that of the roofing contractor who will be the subcontractor for the project for which the general contractor has requested the permit. Provides that those units of local government responsible for the issuance of building permits shall be responsible for the enforcement of provisions concerning such false submissions. Provides that there is no rulemaking authority under the amendatory Act, but that the Governor may suggest rules by filing them with the General Assembly and requesting that the General Assembly authorize such rulemaking by law, enact the suggested rules into law, or take other appropriate action in the General Assembly's discretion.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
