<reference>New Act</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Creates the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children Act. Ratifies and approves the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children. Provides that the agencies and officers of this State and its subdivisions shall enforce the compact and do all things appropriate to effect its purpose and intent that may be within their respective jurisdictions. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<reftype>Adds reference to:</reftype><reference>45 ILCS 15/7.5 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Changes the short title of the new Act from "the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children Act" to "the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children Act of 2007". Amends the existing the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children Act. Provides that if the interstate compact set forth under the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children Act of 2007 becomes operative under the terms of that compact, then the provisions of the compact under the existing Act remain in effect with respect to any actions undertaken prior to the operative date of the compact set forth under the Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children Act of 2007.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
