<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>720 ILCS 5/2-10.1</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 38, par. 2-10.1</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the definition of "severely or profoundly mentally retarded person".</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>House Amendment No. 1</synopsistitle>
<reftype>Deletes reference to:</reftype><reference>720 ILCS 5/2-10.1</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reftype>Adds reference to:</reftype><reference>720 ILCS 5/26-1</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 38, par. 26-1</aliasreference><SynopsisText>Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Provides that disorderly conduct also includes transmitting or causing to be transmitted in any manner to another that the person or another person is going to bring a firearm to school to shoot or otherwise discharge the firearm at the school. Provides that it shall not be a violation of this provision if the person transmitting the information does so with the intent to report it to authorities in order to prevent an incident. Provides that a violation is a Class 2 felony. Provides that transmitting or causing to be transmitted in any manner to another a false alarm to the effect that a bomb or other explosive of any nature or a container holding poison gas, a deadly biological or chemical contaminant, or radioactive substance is concealed in such place that its explosion or release would endanger human life, knowing at the time of such transmission that there is no reasonable ground for believing that such bomb, explosive or a container holding poison gas, a deadly biological or chemical contaminant, or radioactive substance is concealed in such place is a Class 2 felony if the place referred to is a school. Provides that if a person commits either of these violations and in such case requires an emergency response, the person shall be required to make restitution to all public entities involved in the emergency response, to cover the reasonable cost of their participation in the emergency response, including but not limited to regular and overtime costs incurred by local law enforcement agencies, schools, and private contractors paid by the public agencies or schools in securing the school or evacuating the school. Provides that the convicted person shall make this restitution in addition to any other fine or penalty required by law.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
