<reference>225 ILCS 650/9</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 56 1/2, par. 309</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Meat and Poultry Inspection Act. Allows for the slaughter of an animal that has not been subject to an antemortem inspection in cases where (i) the animal has gotten loose, (ii) the animal poses a risk to the public health while it is loose, and (iii) an inspector is not immediately available to conduct an antemortem inspection. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
