| with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No. |

| 1, on page 18, immediately below line 9, by inserting the |

| following: |

| "(i) This Section does not apply to any public utility |
| 7 |
| company that serves territory within more than one but fewer |
| 8 |
| than 4 municipalities and that supplies a total of 70,000 or |
| 9 |
| fewer meter connections in the State unless and until (1) the |
| 10 |
| operating control of that company changes through stock |
| 11 |
| transfer, sale of assets, merger, or otherwise or (2) the |
| 12 |
| utility becomes subject to Section 7-204 of the Public |
| 13 |
| Utilities Act.".
