| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2737 on page 2, by |

| replacing lines 10 through 14 with the following: |

| "(3) when forensic DNA testing is requested, and the |
| 5 |
| testing is to be performed on or after the effective date |
| 6 |
| of this amendatory Act of the 94th General Assembly, the |
| 7 |
| forensic DNA testing shall be performed by an American |
| 8 |
| Society of Crime Laboratory Directors/Laboratory |
| 9 |
| Accreditation Board (ASCLD) accredited laboratory or an |
| 10 |
| International Standards Organization (ISO) accredited |
| 11 |
| laboratory.".
