| 1, on page 1, by replacing lines 13 through 15 with the |

| "patient's estimated glomerular filtration rate, except that |

| the Department of Public Health may grant to a laboratory an |
| 8 |
| exception to or deferral of the requirement to calculate the |
| 9 |
| patient's estimated glomerular filtration rate based on |
| 10 |
| demonstrated financial hardship to the laboratory due to |
| 11 |
| equipment upgrades necessary to enable the laboratory to |
| 12 |
| perform the calculation. The"; and

| on page 1, line 19, after the period, by inserting "The |

| Department shall adopt rules to implement this Section.".
